Our six meter beacon on 50.079.5 MHz, WA4FC/B was heard today in a great band opening by CT1HZE. At 1102 Zulu today, Joachim copied our 2 watt signal on a horizontal omni loop from over 3000 miles away. I haven’t done the exact math yet, but it is the current record on how far away the beacon has been heard. Doug was lucky enough to be off and around the house, and took the cue to get on the radio and make some QSOs into Portgual and Spain.
