I’m going to be trying out Mototrbo for the first time this year on the ham bands while at the hamfest. TRBO, as it is frequently called is another digital modulation type like P25, DSTAR, etc. It is becoming popular in the business, industrial and health care settings, and occasionally even in the public safety world (even though P25 remains prevalent).

I’m pleased to announce that the DMR-MARC team and hams from Motorola Solutions will have a presence at Dayton this year. We plan to have a networked repeater as well as a couple of exhibits. Please view all the details at http://dmr-marc.net
Also, if you plan on using the system, you MUST have your ID registered on our worldwide database. No made up IDs. We have very specific reasons like ID conflicts with our bridged networks that make this point essential. DMR-MARC, TRBO-6, and NorCal have embraced this singular database. Go to the Contact Us at the top of the page ASAP to register your ID. We plan to be available at Dayton to register IDs too.
Finally, you will notice we have a downloadable contact list on our website, courtesy of K6EH. Paul will be updating the contact list this weekend. Look back Monday for the final list before we go to Dayton. This is a copy and paste list you place into CPS to see who is calling, both Name and Callsign. The list on the website now was last updated 3/22.
