First of all, a huge thanks to Neil for all of the work spent customing our site, and for taking some ownership of our corner of the web. The site allows you to log in once, and have access to the forums, media gallery, stories archives, activities calendar, the chat box / dx spots area, and more.
You can submit your own stories under the various categories listed, and comment on those that are there. If you want me to add a category for you to write about, shoot me or Neil a message. PLEASE feel free to contribute info about any of the topics posted, and you can also comment on existing stories.
The existing WebCalendar (http://www.fieldcomm.org/calendar) is going to remain independent from the site at this point, so if you need help syncronizing your username and password just let me or Neil know. The webmail system can not be integrated either.
If you want email notification of replies in the forums as with the previous setup, you’ll need to turn that on yourself. Go to user functions down the left side then –> forums features –> click yes for always notify, and save.
Almost all of the photo gallery is migrated over except for user albums….Will get those in a day or so. If you want a personal photo gallery created for yourself, just say the word.
Links need to be migrated over as well, and some of the project pages (portable repeater, etc) so that stuff will be added soon. Please let us know how you like the new site!!!
